AI Features Addendum

This addendum forms part of Studiio's Terms of Service and describes how artificial intelligence features are provided within the Studiio platform, what data is used, and your responsibilities when using them.

AI features in Studiio

Studiio offers optional AI-powered features to assist broadcasters in managing listener communications. Current AI capabilities include:

  • Message summarisation: Automatically summarise inbound listener messages to surface key information during live broadcasts.
  • Listener variable identification: Identify listener names, sentiment, and other attributes from inbound communications to enrich listener profiles.
  • Script generation: Generate on-air script suggestions based on show context and listener interactions.

AI features are optional and can be enabled or disabled from your dashboard. Using an AI feature constitutes acceptance of this addendum.

How AI processing works

AI features are powered by third-party large language model (LLM) providers, currently OpenAI. When you use an AI feature, relevant data — which may include listener message content — is transmitted to OpenAI's API for processing. The result is returned to Studiio and displayed within your account.

We minimise the data sent to AI providers to what is necessary for the specific feature. We do not send unnecessary account metadata or personally identifying information beyond what is required to complete the AI task.

OpenAI's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. OpenAI is listed as a subprocessor in our Subprocessors List.

Your responsibilities

By enabling AI features, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to process any listener data submitted through AI features, including any necessary consents from the individuals whose data is being processed.
  • You will not submit data through AI features that you are not authorised to process, or that contains particularly sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or biometric data) unless you have an appropriate lawful basis to do so.
  • You understand that AI-generated outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies and should be reviewed before being used on-air or in communications.

Data retention

Studiio does not retain the content of AI processing requests beyond what is necessary to return the result to you. Listener data stored within your Studiio account is retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

OpenAI does not use API inputs to train its models by default. For more information, refer to OpenAI's API data usage policies.

Changes to AI providers

We may add, change, or remove AI providers as the product evolves. We will update our Subprocessors List and this addendum when material changes occur.
