Studiio in 2026: Everything you need to know
We're kicking off 2026 with our biggest year yet. After listening to your feedback and watching how you use Studiio, we're building features that make running your show or podcast smoother, more interactive, and more accessible to listeners around the world.
Here's what's coming to Studiio this year.
A completely rebuilt phone system
Delivery timeframe: Q1 2026
We've reimagined our phone system from the ground up, switching to a new carrier that gives you more flexibility and better global coverage.
Multi-party and conference calls will be supported, so you can bring multiple callers into your show at once. Whether you're hosting a panel discussion or taking calls from listeners in different time zones, the new system handles it seamlessly.
We'll also make the caller experience much better. Enhanced on-hold music will come with volume controls, so your callers aren't blasted with audio while they wait. And with improved phone user session handling, multiple people can connect to the same endpoint without any technical headaches on your end.
The switch to our new carrier means expanded international coverage with numbers available in more countries than ever before. We'll also be adding edge nodes across Australia, Europe, the US, and Asia, which translates to lower latency and clearer call quality no matter where you or your callers are located.
Web calls with crystal clear audio
Delivery timeframe: Q4 2026
Why settle for phone quality when you can have broadcast quality? Web calls will let you accept and make calls directly through your browser with audio quality that puts traditional phone calls to shame.
You'll be able to embed web calling directly on your website or mobile app, making it effortless for guests to connect. And when you need to schedule interviews or pre-planned segments, just send a simple link.
Your guest clicks, connects via any mobile/tablet or desktop web browser, and you're live with pristine audio quality. No phone numbers to dial, no complicated setup.
WhatsApp integration
Delivery timeframe: Q2 2026
Your listeners are already on WhatsApp, so now Studiio will be too. This integration opens up a new channel for listener interaction, making it easier for your audience to reach you on the platform they use every day.
This integration will be handled through WhatsApp for Business (similar to our Facebook/Instagram integration). You'll be able to connect your existing phone numbers in Studiio to WhatsApp, and set triggers for smart auto-responses.
Web forms for requests and shoutouts
Delivery timeframe: Q3 2026
Not every listener wants to call in, and that's okay. Our new web forms feature will let you embed customizable forms directly on your website where listeners can submit song requests and shoutouts.
All form submissions appear right in your studio panel, so you can see requests as they come in and incorporate them into your show without switching between tabs or checking email. It's a simple way to boost engagement and give your audience more ways to participate.
Alerts API for your workflow
Delivery timeframe: Q3 2026
Sometimes you need to know about things instantly. Our Alerts API will let you trigger notifications in your Studio Panels from anywhere via a simple API call.
Technical issue detected by your monitoring system? Get an alert in your panel. Message from your team in Slack that needs immediate attention? Send it straight to your studio. The Alerts API integrates Studiio into your existing workflows, so critical information reaches your presenters exactly when and where you need it.
What this means for you
These updates are about giving you more options. More ways for listeners to reach you, more countries supported, and more control over how you run your show/podcast. We've built these features to work together seamlessly, so whether you're running a local community station or broadcasting internationally, Studiio scales with you.
