Studiio started with a Nokia 3210, and a small community radio station.
Our listeners loved engaging with us, we averaged around 100 SMS messages per show. The only thing was, the phone was dumb.
You couldn't turn off the vibration, every time we received a new SMS message the phone would vibrate, sending faint noises through any hot microphones into the ears of our listeners. It wasn't ideal.
The alternatives were prohibitively expensive. Complex physical PBX systems, multiple phone lines, expensive running costs. It was becoming clear that the solution for us was not an off-the-shelf system.
We then developed our own user-friendly, modular, customizable and affordable platform for community broadcasters in Australia. Word spread quickly about our software, so we evolved to serve our international friends.
Studiio is now available in over 15 countries worldwide, and we process over a million SMS messages every month.
We have moved beyond our reliable (but terrible) Nokia 3210 solution, and have since helped over 100+ radio stations worldwide increase their listener engagement.
